We often lack or lose connection with one another: politicians with the public they serve, executives with their employees, consumers with producers, and so on. However, major events often enable people and societies to progress. The current pandemic is such an event. Developed societies could use this tragedy to focus on finding greater purpose through:
– fostering a higher level of compassion and equity
– living and working more closely with communities
– restructuring organisations into flatter, people-oriented entities
– taking care of nature to maintain a viable habitat.
We could then be on the path of living in harmony with each other and our planet.
Our development path is clearly signposted.
